This Friday, instead of our usual Rehearsal night, we headed to Pontyclun Institute & Athletic Club to perform a guest spot at Llantrisant Ladies Choir Anniversary Concert.
The Ladies Choir was conducted by Dave Hutchings with guest accompanist James Saldivar, who also performed his own piano solo spot.
We sung a number of items from our usual repertoire during both halves of the concert, and also a two joint finale items with the ladies, Rhythm of Life and the ever popular Wlesh hymn Calon Lân.
After the concert, the Ladies laid on a generous buffet and a few Morlais choristers chose to stay on for the rest of the evening and partake of some liquid refreshment and join the Ladies in some ‘social singing’.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Llantrisant Ladies Choir on a successful concert, and also express our gratitude for inviting Côr Meibion Morlais to be part of their evening.
